Paters of delicate pink rose quartz, perfectly smooth 6mm rose quartz semi precious gemstone beads and Aves of 8mm bright gold plated hematite gemstones making an intriguing contrast with the soft hued rose quartz. A uniquely attractive design.
(Ave is short of Ave Maria or Hail Mary beads, Pater is short for Pater Noster or Our Father beads).
The 2.3cm by 2.5cm centerpiece medal is a beautiful full colour depiction of St. Christopher in an antique silver plated setting. The crucifix is also silver plated design with an intricate Celtic knot design.
It is said that the Celtic Cross was born when St. Patrick drew a cross through a Celtic circle as he was speaking about God the Father.
Each bead is hand wrapped with tarnish resistant silver plated wire using the traditional wire wrapping technique.
This technique involves passing a length of wire through the bead and wrapping it back around itself on each side of the bead to form a loop at each end. The next wire is passed through this loop before wrapping it around a bead. This method ensures there is no opening or weak link in the loops to allow the rosary to come apart. It is the most secure method of rosary making.
Your Rosary will arrive wrapped in layers of tissue paper in a beautiful gift box. You will also receive an organza bag to protect your rosary while carrying it, an information leaflet giving the history of the rosary and how to use your rosary beads and a First Holy Communion prayer card.
